Sensex and Nifty Closed Flat in Wednesday Trade

 Market closing Bells: Sensex & Nifty closed flat Today

A  Indian benchmark index of equities markets, the 30-scrip BSE Sensitive Index (Sensex), witnessed fluctuating movement in Wednesday's trade and closed flat for the day provisionally down 51 points or 0.18 percent.

The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 28,725.75 points, closed the day's trade at 28,659.17 points (3.30 p.m.), down 50.70 points or 0.18 percent from the previous day's close at 28,709.87 points.

The Sensex had touched a high of 28,843.23 points and a low of 28,608.18 points in the intra-day trade

Meanwhile The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the NSE also closed the day's trade on a flat note  provisionally in red. It was down 12.10 points or 0.14 percent at 8,699.95 points.

Top five shiner stock were Bharti Airtel 5.97%, NTPC 2.63%, M&M 2.48%, GAIL 1.58% and HUL 1.34%, while the major losers were Hindalco 5.51%, SSLT 2.33%, Tata Steel 1.88%, Cipla 1.63% and Tata Motors 1.62%.
